Microsoft is preparing a special announcement for Xbox Game Pass in September. According to the details leaked so far, the company will make the biggest addition ever with 19 games. Of these 19 games, 17 will be added to Game Pass on day one.
Game Pass could get 19 games in September
Microsoft has four games confirmed for September. These are Star Trucker on September 3rd, Age of Mythology: Retold on September 4th and Frostpunk 2 on September 20th. Also, Ara: History Untold will be available on September 24.
That leaves 15 games yet to be announced, which will bring the total number of games in September to 19. The company’s previous record was set in April with 17 games. So we could be in for another wave of games in September.
Microsoft will also introduce a new “Standard” subscription tier for Xbox Game Pass on the console starting September 12. The new tier will not include first-day access to first-party games. Standard subscribers will need to upgrade to the “Ultimate” plan to continue receiving new releases on their release dates.
In case you missed it, here are the games added to Xbox Game Pass August 2024:
- Mafia Definitive Edition
- Crash N Sane Trilogy
- Creatures of Ava
- Atlas Fallen (Cloud, Console and PC)
- Core Keeper (Cloud, Console and PC)
